Grown on the small, two-acre Immaculate Vineyard in the Coombsville AVA of southeast Napa Valley, this Cabernet Sauvignon is influenced by the cooler, temperate weather from the nearby San Pablo Bay, allowing for slower, more even ripening. Alive with aromas, black and blue fruits such as black cherry, blackberry and wild blueberry lift from the glass along with hints of anise, tobacco, and faint floral notes. On the palate, the wine surprises with gentle tannins and a well-rounded mixture of cherry, plum, raspberry and black currant. The smooth mouthfeel has a subtle underlying minerality, spiced with hints of white pepper. In the cellar, the cabernet sauvignon ages for 21 months in French oak barrels, 85% of which are new, imparting soft tannins and integrated textures throughout the wine.
