This wine represents the elevation and rugged growing conditions of the Mt. Veeder appellation. The vines struggle, producing a low yield of high-quality fruit, and thus produces a wine with structure, density and girth. The dark purple color foreshadows aromas dominated by floral, violet and mint, and the palate layers blueberry, blackberry and cassis with a long finish. This wine will cellar for at least 15 to 20 years.
